We have seen many new interesting entries this year in the camera industry, and I believe we will see more interesting one in Photokina 2016, especially if the rumors about Nikon and Canon going Full Frame Mirrorless are true.
Leica surprised everyone with the excellent and very desirable Q and the very debatable SL. Sony continued their path with an expected A7rII, A7sII and the excellent RX1rII. Nikon introduced what could be the best upgrade to the D700: the D750 and the top of the line APS-C DSLR the D7200. Canon went Mega with the 5Ds and upgraded their top of the line APS-C DSLR the 7D MkII. Pentax introduced the K3 Mk II. Olympus and Panasonic didn’t stop to evolve with the OM-D EM-5 Mk II, EM-10 Mk II and Lumix GX8.
This is not about Nikon vs Canon or DSLR vs Mirrorless. This is about what you think was the most interesting camera entry in 2015.
I suppose it is a hard choice, I, myself find it hard to pick just one camera of the year as I didn’t try all in the list … I would pick one of the Leica SL as the most innovative Professional Mirrorless cam, Leica Q as the best compact fixed lens cam and the Sony A7rII as the most advanced mirrorless cam.
