a BOKEHILICIOUS GLASS : Nikon 58/1.4G

After lots of thinking, reading reviews about this lens, some very positive and some very negative, and after considering the 50/1.2 Ai-s, that i tried for about a week on my Nikon Dƒ, I decided to get the Nikon 58/1.4G. I had the 50/1.8G kit lens and the 50/1.4G which I sold before receiving the 58/1.4G.

I wanted a Bokehilicious lens for my nikon Dƒ. and I think i found what i needed.

The 58/1.4G handles extremely well on the Dƒ, it is compact, lightweight , a bit large in diameter though (72mm filter thread). It focuses very fast, much faster than the 50/1.4G.

Some Reviewers call it the new NOCT … Well, I am one of them. I had the Voigtlander 50/1.1 Nokton M mount , and this is by far a better glass.

I love how it renders the background wide open.

Here are my first shots with this glass on Dƒ.
